Child and teen safety
Minimum age and teen safety on Joysticked.
Updated October 1, 2026
Age
The public catalog may be browsed from age 13. Accounts require age 16 or over until guardian authorization and linking exist for younger users. The sign-in age declaration does not replace server-side age assurance.
Think before posting
Profiles, reviews, lists and activity may be public. Do not share your address, school, phone number, location, identity documents or intimate images. Current options to hide links and Steam do not make an account private.
Prohibited content and reports
Grooming, child sexual exploitation, threats, harassment and disclosure of personal data are prohibited. Reviews can currently be reported and removed by moderators. Reporting for profiles, comments and risks to minors still needs to be built. Do not share child abuse material in an ordinary report.
Games and guardians
A game appearing in the catalog does not mean it is suitable for teens. Check its age rating. Guardians can request removal of content exposing a minor through the contact channel once active.
